Surviving the Weather

Hurricane Sandy is on her way folks. She is pissed off and she is about to take a left turn into our eastern sea board. With expected life threatening flooding, high and damaging winds, and long term power outages, it is safe to say this is one of the worst hurricanes we've had to face in years.

With that in mind... how are you all prepared to survive harsh weather?
Do you have escape routes planned out? Backup routes in the event of flooding? Potable water to drink? Ready to eat foods that dont require cooking should you loose power? Alternative heat sources should you rely on electric heat or electric assisted natural gas furnaces?

i got my fire set, cooking set, ways out set, guns set, I am ready for sandy to bring it on.

and yet we got nothing! I expected more not that I am complaining
